Joanne M. Rice, 85, of St. Petersburg, Florida, died Saturday, June 20, 2009. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa and moved to St. Petersburg in 1960 from Milwaukee, WI. She was a Surgical Secretary at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and locally was in food service at Dixie Hollins Sr. High School. She was a member of St. Vincent's Episcopal Church, the Altar Guild and St. Margaret's Guild. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arden W.; son, Gary J. of Pinellas Park, FL; daughters, Diane Geswein of Bartlett, TN, Catherine Mitchell of Glen Burnie, MD; 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandsons. A memorial service will be 11 AM Monday, June 29, 2009 at St. Vincent's Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg. Interment will be at Bay Pines National Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers the family requests memorials to: St. Vincent's Episcopal Church 5441-9th Ave. No. St. Petersburg, FL 33710 $(document).ready(function(){ });
