Gladys C. Smith, 80, of Kenneth City, FL, passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL with her family at her side. She moved to Kenneth City in 1961 from her native Pensacola, FL and was a Registered Nurse. Throughout her life and nursing career, she touched the lives of many with her compassionate care, kindness, and dedication to families and their loved ones in her care. She was a member of Northwest Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, William B. Smith; and two loving daughters, Wanda Smith of St. Petersburg, and Susan Smith of Pensacola. She was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to Laurie and Jeannete for the dedication and loving care they extended to our Mom and Dad. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 2:00 P.M. until service time at 4:00 P.M. at E. Dale Gunter Funeral Home 4100-16th St. No. with Dr. J. Marvin Sweat officiating and Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Noon at Harper Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola, FL. Interment will be at Bayview Memorial Park Pensacola, FL.
