Wanda Rader, Chehalis, died November 29, 2006 in Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia from complications following heart surgery. Wanda was born April 20, 1935 in Polson, Montana. She was the daughter of the late Guy H. and Bernice O. Rader, and beloved sister of five brothers: Roger, Tacoma; Keith (wife Margaret), Rochester; Neil (Norma), Tacoma; Max (Beverly), Chehalis; and Duwayne (Billie Jo), Chehalis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Norma. She was a beloved aunt to her many nephews, nieces and grand-nephews and nieces and had many friends in the community. Wanda grew up in Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953. Before her retirement, she worked for Janzen Knitting Mills in Vancouver, Washington and as a accounting clerk in Chehalis and Centralia. Before she retired, Wanda moved into a new home overlooking the North Fork Neuwaukum river valley where she resided for 12 years. Her many interests included gardening, gourmet cooking and all of the arts. She was a volunteer bookmender for local libraries and was a past member of the Lewis County Master Gardeners and Centralia Farmers’ Market. The family plans to hold a Celebration of Wanda’s Life in the spring. Gifts in memory of Wanda may be given to the local Timberland libraries or to Pope’s Kids Place.
