Ann Marie (Litts) Williams, age 43, born August 27th, 1963 , died January 12th, 2007 , at St. Joseph ’s Hospital in Tacoma , Washington . Ann died of natural causes due to complications from a heart attack suffered on December 31, 2006 . 
Ann is survived by her husband Dennis Williams (51), her three sons, Samuel Williams (27), Andrew Williams (20), and Patrick Williams (17). Sam brought our first daughter into the family last year when he married Tonya Devericks (now Williams). 
Other living members of her family include her mother Ruth Litts, her three brothers Roy Litts, Ken Litts, Glenn Litts, and her sister Linda Kroker. 
Roy gave Ann a niece (Breanne), and two nephews (Jeffrey & Derek). Glenn gave Ann 2 nephews by marriage (Randy & Ryan), 1 nephew (Kyle) and a niece (Sabrina). 
Linda gave Ann three nephews (Tom, Tim, and David). 
Ann was preceded in death by her father Edward Donald Litts in 1989. 
Ann was a superb painter in a husband wife team that performed interior and exterior repaints in the residential market under the business name Sure-Shot Renovations. 
Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Lakeview Congregational Chapel, 4606 108th St. SW, Lakewood, WA. 
Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008. 
Biography 
Ann Marie was born on August 27, 1963 in San Diego, California. She was the 3rd of 5 children born to Edward Donald Litts and Ruth McVey Litts. Her father served in the US Navy for 20 years and retired in 1963. He then worked for civil service in many states until he landed a position at Madigan Military Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington which he held for some 15 years until he retired for the 2nd time. Because of his varied assignments, the 5 children were born in different places. Her oldest brother is Roy Albert Litts and is married to Susie Litts. Her second brother is Kenneth Allen Litts. Her younger brother is Glenn Keith Litts and is married to Danielle Litts. The youngest in the family is her sister Linda Lee Kroker who is married to Robert Kroker. 
Ann attended several elementary schools and Lakes HS. Her son Samuel was born on May 25, 1979 at Madigan Medical Center. She attended Clover Park Voc-Tech to receive her radio broadcasting license. She was a radio announcer for CP station KNBQ. The school station was broadcast over the school speaker system. One of the students attracted to her voice was Dennis Carl Williams. He was a student in the architectural drafting classes. He had been from Michigan and was stationed at Fort Lewis. He served in the US army for 3 years and in the inactive branch for another 3 years. He liked the area so he stayed in Washington state and went to classes at CP. He was invited on a group date with Ann that didn’t go so well. A month later, Dennis attended a party after a sporting event. Ann was there with someone else who enjoyed the party too much and passed out. Ann and Dennis got into a conversation and he gave her a ride home. They talked some more and it was the beginning of their romantic relationship. They lived together for 3 years. Dennis proposed to her (type written) on December 24, 1982, but before Dennis would marry her she was required to receive her high school diploma. She received her high school diploma from Clover Park HS in 1984 through the alternative instruction program. She promptly pulled out the proposal and let him know it was time to make things legal. They were married in Las Vegas on December 10, 1984 and enjoyed a 4-week honeymoon. 
When they returned, Dennis continued to work as sales coordinator and estimator for Truss Span, a Truss Company in Auburn, Washington. They lived in North East Tacoma. Dennis adopted Sam just before the birth of his brother Andrew born on February 17, 1986 in Tacoma. Ann began a job as a ride operator at Enchanted Village. Their third son Patrick was born on November 25, 1989 in Tacoma. 
After Ann’s father died in 1989, her mother moved to an apartment near TCC and then to senior housing in Kent and now lives in the Lakewood Meadows Apartments, also senior housing. 
Dennis left his job and was planning to go to chiropractic school. Their home sale fell through. The housing market went bad and they decided to purchase her mothers home. Dennis and Ann began their own business in June, 1991. Their company’s name is Sure-Shot Renovations. They began by doing renovations, dry wall repairs, construction, and painting. Ann was good and quick with masking and preparing for painting. Her cut-in, attention to detail, and ability to make problem spots go away were invaluable. Their sons assisted in some of the work projects. Sam had a newspaper route in the neighborhood where they lived. He often inserted advertising flyers in the newspapers delivered to their neighbors and they got a lot of work from the home owners in their neighborhood. 
Ann and Dennis, the boys, and friends and family enjoyed camping. Their favorite place to camp was Huckleberry Creek near Crystal Mountain. 
One of Ann’s interests was the martial arts. She quit before attaining a black belt as she did not want to license her hands as deadly weapons. Her interest was in self-defense but she was quite capable of lethal force. Her boys have been introduced to her skills as the need arose. 
Ann and Dennis enjoyed their sons and the friends they had. Sam graduated from Steilacoom HS in 1997 and graduated from CWU in 2001 with a BA in law and justice and sociology. He works in marketing and fundraising for Partnerships in Community Living in Monmouth, Oregon. He married Tonya Michelle Devericks on April 28, 2006. Ann was happy to have a daughter in law and another woman as part of her family. 
Andrew graduated from Steilacoom HS in 2004 and worked in Seattle. He will be moving back from Seattle to work with Dennis in the painting business. He will be a good replacement for Ann but he will never be able to take her place. 
Patrick is currently attending Steilacoom HS and will graduate in 2008. Dennis said that Pat has great compassion for others. He has a wisdom that is beyond his years. Ann and Dennis have no doubt that he will be a success in life. 
Ann enjoyed her gardens of herbs, strawberries, tomatoes, zucchini, green beans, and other vegetables. She had a renewed interest in beading. She had the equipment for Pretty Punch projects she had used for several years. She had interest in doing some new crafts now that her hobby room was ready. 
On the morning of New Year’s Eve day, Ann was not feeling well and suffered a cardiac arrest and was taken to St. Claire’s hospital, and then transferred to St. Joseph’s hospital. Ann’s heart was repaired and her body was brought back to good health but the lack of oxygen caused permanent brain damage. After being on life support for several days, the support was removed and Ann died of natural causes due to the complications resulting from the cardiac arrest. She was surrounded by her husband and sons, her mother, brothers and sister when she died peacefully shortly before 5:00pm on Friday, January 12, 2007. 
Ann was a loving and caring woman. Her natural beauty radiated from within as well as from without. Ann did not wear makeup and jewelry. She didn't need either. She was selfless, full of life, tough as nails, and young at heart. 
Ann said she gave birth to three sons, but was the single mother of 4 -- Dennis was her fourth one. 
Ann was not a materialistic woman and had no great dreams or desires for anything fancy. She was always a "function over form" person. The only thing she ever really wanted was her hobby room. Dennis finished it the day before their 22nd wedding anniversary on December 10, 2006. Ann set it up the way she wanted it and had time to use it for gift-wrapping during the holiday season. 
Ann was rich in spirit. She knew her God and carried that within her. Ann was rich with the ability to look beyond a person's race, creed, and color and focus on the good. She did not seek the approval of others. She knew what was right, and she knew what was wrong. Ann did not preach the gospel, she lived it. Those who knew her know that God will be waiting for her with open arms. 
Ann will be sorely missed but her strength, her love, and the warmth of her touch will always be with us.
