James graduated from Mt Tahoma High School and went on to spend three years serving his country in the Army. He then chose a career as a Fabricator in Welding. 
Proceeded in death by Mother Shirley Mathers, Father Jack Standish, Wife Connie Standish. Survived by Sister Jean Willis, Brothers, Larry Standish and John Standish, Sons Danny Hicks and Tony Marston, Daughters Rebecca, Sarah and Katie James Standish. Also survived by a large family Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
