Sandra Bea “Sandy” Ott, 80, of Lacey, Washington, passed away on August 3, 2023, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Wash., after a lengthy illness. Sandy was born July 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Linea M. and Merle B. (Pat) Patterson of Olympia. A 1961 graduate of Olympia High School, Sandy excelled in administrative support positions and built her career as a public servant in Washington State government, working for more than 30 years in various state agencies, including the Game Department, Liquor Control Board, Employment Security, General Administration, Social and Health Services, and eventually retiring from Labor and Industries. Sandy’s greatest love and source of pride was her family, who supported her tirelessly as her health declined. She gave this last battle her all and her courage inspired us. We the family are eternally grateful for her life and enduring love. Grieving her loss are her husband of 37 years, John Ott of Lacey; sister, Judy Patterson (Jerry Walsh) of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Brenda (Rick) Henrikson of Roy, Wash.; son, Bruce Ryan (Rebekah) Jory of Tenino, Wash.; grandsons, Josh Henrikson of Roy and Ryan Scott (Melyssa) Jory of Auburn, Wash.; and great-grandson, Jetsyn, of Auburn.
