Bruce Laurence Bray, 68, passed away September 21, 2015 in Olympia, Washington. He was born October 21, 1946 to Walter Laurence “Larry” and Beulah Bee (Best) Bray in Anacortes, Washington. Over the years, he lived in various Washington cities, including Colville and surrounding areas, Tacoma, Arlington, and Auburn. Bruce attended Arlington High School and Green River Community College. He served four years in the Navy aboard the USS Hancock where he worked on the flight deck and was a welder. He was stationed in Hawaii for one year. He was married to Patti Caudle from 1970 to 1986, and to surviving wife, Sharon (Davis) Bray, in 1987. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life with employment briefly at Rohr aircraft and many years at Boeing. He also enjoyed working as a commercial fisherman and dairy farmer. Bruce had a quick wit, was clever and a great story teller. He was kind, gracious, and always willing to help a friend. He enjoyed racing pigeons, yodeling, hunting with his dogs on the Stillaguamish River, wood carving, song writing, family history, and legal research. He was an active member of several Western Washington racing pigeon clubs, racing and breeding many champion birds. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bray; son, John Owen; daughter, Bonnie Warrington; step-daughter, Angeleen Corbett; one grandchild and three step grandchildren; brothers, Brian Bray and Douglas Bray; and sisters, Elisabeth Fairchild and Jackie Bray.
