Marilyn passed away peacefully Tues., Aug. 11, 2009 at Anderson House in Shoreline after her courageous battle with cancer. Marilyn was born and raised in Seattle. She is survived by her son, Daniel P. Ratigan, the joy of her life; her brother, Philip Lorbett; as well as many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Neva Lorbett. Marilyn took great pride in working at NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill), many food banks and at Cascade Hall, an assisted living facility.She will be remembered for her sweet smile, her sense of humor, and above all, her kindness. To celebrate Marilyns life there will be a Mass at 11 a.m. on Wed., Aug. 19, 2009 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 18033 15th Place NE in Shoreline; a Rosary will be said prior at 10:30 a.m.
