EDITH L. GOVE, aka Billie, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma was born on July 7, 1918 in Seattle, WA to William Edith Grady. She was one of six children all proceeding her in death; Arlene Cherberg, Helen Hansen, Loretta Sodden, Dorothy Surridge, and Bill Grady. She met her long time husband of sixty-one years, Ernie Gove while attending Queen Anne High School. Ernie passed away on October 3rd, 2001. Together they raised four sons in the Greater Seattle area, supporting numerous athletic programs of her children and grandchildren through the years. Long remembered as the golfing Goves in the community, Billie supported numerous club activities at Sand Point CC and Inglewood GC while being employed at Cherbergs Broiler and Frederick Nelson. Surviving her death son Gary/Marsha-Jeff, Leanne, David and Mike/Carrie-Christopher, Ashley and Douglas. Deceased son Dennis/Susie Michael, Denise and Christine and deceased son Doug. She is also survived by six great grand-children. Dennis and Doug both recently lost battles to lung cancer. Billie raised her sons until their teen years, and then returned to work. However, she managed to not ever miss Ladies Day at the club, and even scripted numerous luncheon activities through the years. An avid sports fan she always enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids excel at their various activities. She also loved her time playing cards with friends, the weekly trips to play Bingo, and the occasional opportunities at slots/keno. Always a winner! She peacefully passed away on December 4, 2013 at 95 years of age. A celebration of life is planned for Wednesday, December 18 beginning at 2:00 pm at Inglewood Golf Club.
