Donna Mae Walling, age 95, of Venice, Florida, passed away on March 3, 2014. She was born in Portland, Indiana on November 14, 1918. She was the owner of Walling's Store in Union City, Indiana for over 30 years until retiring to Venice, Florida in 1985. She was a member of First Church of God South Venice. Donna is survived by her daughter, Phyllis ""Jody"" DeFore; a brother, Albert ""Ward"" Alexander; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Walling and two sons, Duane E. Walling and Darrell H. Walling. A visitation will be held at the First Church of God South Venice on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 10:00am-11:00am with a Celebration of Life Service to follow. Burial will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Parkinson's Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, New York 10305. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
