Louise Turner, 76, died May 18, 2018. She is survived by her sister Joanne Commodore; many grandnieces and nephews and many, many great-grandnieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Bessie (Hockey) Turner and 15 siblings. Louise, one of 16 children, who was raised on a farm, was the family caretaker, living for her siblings. She was there to care for her parents, her siblings, their children and their children’s children throughout her life. Most of her nieces and nephews can tell stories of her loaning her car to them for their dates, or baby-sitting for them so their parents could work. She was baptized with a large group of her family and her church was always a central part of her life. Most of her younger nieces and nephews called her their second mom. Everyone she met was positively impacted by the love and care they received from her. Heaven is more beautiful with her there. There will be a service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Louise’s name to Bethel Baptist Church, 552 Ash St, Lexington, KY 40508.
