William Jeremiah (Jerry) Greenler, III, age 71, of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by many members of his family on July 17, 2010 after a short illness. He was born on February 1, 1939 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was an Electrical Engineer and worked in the Aerospace Division for General Electric. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Toni, a son, Jeff of Georgetown, Massachusetts; three sisters, Kathleen Greenler of Newburyport, Massachusetts, Joanne Gilbert and Janet Mierzykowski both of Ormand Beach, Florida; four brothers, Michael of Methuen, Massachusetts, Paul of Boxford, Massachusetts, John of Groveland, Massachusetts and James of Haverhill, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Kyle, Patrick and Shane and several loving nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00-6:00PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. Burial will be held in Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made to any of the following, Venice Regional Medical Center, c/o Critical Care Unit, 540 The Rialto, Venice, Florida 34285 or Boy Scouts of America, Great Trails Council, 88 Old Windsor Road, Dalton, Massachusetts 01226-1342 or to the American Lung Association, 12734 Kenwood Lane, Suite 25, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
