Phyllis H. Stearns, 71, of Nokomis, FL, died on June 24, 2010. Phyllis was a member of Venice Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir. She was very musical and also played the piano. She loved the outdoors, was very positive, and was very courageous in her battle with pancreatic cancer. Phyllis played bridge and loved to travel. She was also a counselor and was very passionate about helping people. Survivors include her daughter, Camille (Brian) Adkins of Germantown, OH; sons Eric (Heather) Stearns of Chicago, IL and Kevin Stearns of Sarasota, FL; three sisters, Joan Grathwohl, Nancy Rinehart, Lauren Young; and two granddaughters. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Stearns, and her parents, Joan V. Young and Reginald Young.
