Lois Corrine Taylor died at her care facility in Lynnwood, WA on November 13, 2017. She was 87.She was born Lois Pearson on January 18, 1930 and grew up on the family farm in Mead, Nebraska. She had three brothers, and was the only daughter of Henry Pearson and Maybell Hanson Pearson. She graduated from Mead Consolidated High School in 1947. She went on to complete the secret program at Luther College in Wahoo, Nebraska in 1948. She married Mervin Johnson and had two sons, Dave and Kenn Johnson, eventually moving to the Pacific Northwest. A few years after her first marriage ended in divorce, she married Gerald Taylor in 1973. She gained three stepchildren: Kevin, Brian, and Karen Taylor. That marriage lasted until Jerrys death in 2008. Lois retired from the Edmonds School District, serving many years in the Library Services area. She had traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, and to visit relatives and friends around the Northwest and in Nebraska. Lois is survived by her sons, Dave Johnson and Kenn Johnson of La Conner, Washington, stepsons Kevin Taylor (Julie) of Seattle, Brian Taylor (Louise) of Cork, Ireland, and stepdaughter Karen Taylor (Robert) of Arlington, WA. She has nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter. A Memorial will take place on Sunday, December 3, at 1:00 p.m. at Becks Tribute Center in Edmonds. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lois life. The family wishes to express special thanks to the wonderful staff at Pacifica Senior Living in Lynnwood, who lovingly cared for Lois for the past several years.
