Kenneth Wayne Curry, affectionately known as Kenny departed this earth on 10/30/2022, peacefully at home after a courageous battle with colon cancer, surrounded by his loved ones. Kenny was born in Lexington KY to Joyce Cater Brooks and Kenneth L. Curry. Kenny has 3 children, April, Ryan and Dylan and 2 grandchildren Kaelyn McDowell and Hailey Curry. Kenny spent his final years with his mother Joyce and step dad, Jim Brooks. Kenny’s siblings are Kristin Disponette, (Greg)Kevin Curry, Kelly Slagle, Stacey Wilhoite(Chuck)and Crystal Curry and step siblings, John, Brady and Winnie. Kenny has a slew of aunts, uncles and cousins several nieces and nephews. Kenny loved to hang out with dozens of beloved friends and with his life long best friend, Tommy McFadden. Kenny loved long rides on his Harley, fishing and spending time with his family. Kenny successfully completed treatment for alcoholism and stayed on to mentor with the Hope Center for sometime. Kenny was fiercely loved by his family and his biggest supporter is his mom, Joyce Brooks. Kenny’s family would like to thank Markey Cancer Center and Bluegrass Navigators for their outstanding and compassionate care. A gathering of family friends will be from 6pm - 8pm Friday, Nov. 04, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing.
