Dennis Neal Johnson, 56, passed away on May 17, 2010. He was also known as “Big Dennis.” He spent most of his life in Virginia Beach, VA where he attended school and later retired from the Hampton Roads Water Treatment District. Dennis was a bear of a man and his soft voice and loving heart made it a joy to know him. He was the adoring husband of 7 years to Jacqueline, in North Port, FL, loving son to Richard and Wilma King of Harkers Island, NC, grandpa to Angelique and Savannah; father of April and Justin, step father to Michelle and Michael. He was an avid motorcycle rider for most of his life and was always happy to ride as often as he could, especially with his dearest friends. He also loved to build motorcycles and often won awards for showing them. He will be so badly missed by all of us. “Ride free through the clouds of heaven with the warm wind on your face and God’s hand on your shoulder” Visitation and a Celebration of Dennis’ life are scheduled on Friday, May 21 from 5pm to 7 pm and will be held at Farley Funeral Home, 5900 S. Biscayne Drive, North Port, FL 34287. (941) 426-2880. There will be no graveside services.
