Merilyn Kae Werner was born on August 5, 1924 in Seattle, Washington to her mother Mae I. McKinney and father Wilson W. Brine. She was the eldest of three children: brother, Robert Brine and sister, Vernice Brine. She married Arnold Werner on November 21, 1943. Together they had three children: Larri Werner, Gary Werner, and Terri Werner. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter Terri, and her sister Vernice. Merilyn has three grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. During her life, Marilyn worked in banking and retired after 34 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary- Royal Neighbors of America and served as a president and various other posts. Merilyn loved to travel. She has been on cruises to Alaska and on one that was long cruise around the world. One of the greatest joys to Merilyn was the Teton Wagon and Horse Adventure. She took this adventure for 37 years and even worked on it for one year. She was dearly loved by all the crew. Everyone that knew Merilyn loved her. She was always kind and always had that special smile. She was loved by all her caregivers at Brookdale where she resided her last few years. Her memory will remain in all our hearts forever. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018, 10 a.m. at Beck’s Tribute Center in Edmonds, WA; with entombment to follow at Evergreen-Washelli Mausoleum, Seattle, WA.
