Hance A. Marcum, Sr., 82, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at University of Kentucky. He was born in Lenore, West Virginia, son of the late Grover and Georgia Marcum. For over 45 years, he owned his own building and construction company and firewood business. He also had several rental properties in Lexington for many years. Survivors include three sons, Hance (Samantha) Marcum Jr., of Lexington, Michael (Marie) Marcum of Ohio and Raymond (Sarah) Marcum of Lexington; two daughters, Julane (Roger) Mullins and Priscilla Parsons both of Lexington; eight grandchildren, Jaclyn, Ashley, Thomas, Michael, Tyler, Madison, McKenzie, and Kobe; brother, David (Cindy) Marcum of Lovely, Kentucky and Mabel (Gene) Maggard of Dayton, Ohio; and a special fur baby (Oliver). Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 12pm at Clark Legacy Center Brannon Crossing, visitation will be from 10am until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens, Nicholasville, KY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators.
