Our beautiful and beloved mom, grandma and great grandma, Wilma Lenore Lee, went home to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on July 4, 2018. She can now rejoice in heaven with so many that have gone before her including her husband Wally of 63 years and her son Doug. Wilma was born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada on April 21, 1929 and moved to Seattle at a young age. Much of her youth was spent in Lake City where her parents owned a gas station and barber shop. Wilma graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1947 and married her high school sweetheart in September of the same year. While finishing school, her future husband was building their first home. Once Wilma was married she fell in love with being a homemaker and truly loved raising babies, baking and decorating a home. Wilma was a very devoted wife and mother. Wilma traveled with her family all over the country multiple times in multiple RVs and was able to snowbird in Thousand Palms, California for many years. She passed this love of travel to many of her family. She also visited Norway, England, Mexico and Germany. Together with her husband, Wilma helped develop the lazy Wheels Mobile Home Park in Bothell. Wilma had a great empathy for others, especially after the loss of her son and attained a counseling certificate from Liberty University. She volunteered for a time at Burden Bearers. She also helped financially to Support 7 in Edmonds, as she felt it was important to have a chaplain available to anyone in emergency situations because it wasn’t offered to her and she felt alone in her loss. Wilma hosted many people in her home over the years including teams of college students seeking to start churches in the area. Her husband built many of the homes they lived in and Wilma loved the interior design planning. Wilma was also predeceased by her parents Jesse and Hilda Smith and her brother Bill Smith as well as dear brother- and sister-in-law. To all she left behind she would hope that they have found the peace, joy and unconditional love found only through knowing Christ. Wilma is survived by her son Michael Lee and wife Ann, son Stephen Lee and wife Sherri, and daughter Linda Garcia and husband Manuel; as well as 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. In Wilma’s honor donations are welcome to International Chaplains Ministry “Support 7” P.O. Box 476, Edmonds, WA 98020, In Touch Ministries/Dr. Charles Stanley, or any Dementia research.
