Herbert Russell "Rusty" Harmon Jr., 67, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 7, 2023. Rusty was born on on October 3, 1955, in Detroit, MI the son of the late Herbert Harmon Sr. and Phyllis Smith Harmon. Rusty was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Marie Smith; his paternal grandparents, Milton and Tina Harmon, and his nephew Christopher Maynard. Rusty attended Williamson High School and was an avid fisherman and Harley Davidson lover. He was a retired supervisor in the sheet metal industry, belonging to the Sheet Metal Workers of America Local #110 of Louisville, KY. Survivors include his sisters, Beverly (Robert) Loudermelt of North Carolina, Vivian "Bo" (Aubrey) Booth of Hardy, KY, Vicki (Jerry) Deskins, of Forest Hills, KY, Tina Sue Hall of Belfry, KY and Angela (Eugene) Harmon Crum of Indiana. Rusty also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and many friends. In following Rusty's wishes, he will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 1-4 PM at Clark Legacy Center in Nicholasville. In lieu of flowers please make donation to First Baptist Church of Belfry Youth, p.o. box 339 Belfry, KY 41514.
