Ilene Bodine Darbee passed away in Sarasota on January 8, 2010, after a courageous battle with LeioMyoSarcoma. The daughter of J. Walter and Alvina (Arndt) Bodine was born on May 2, 1939, in Bay City, Michigan. Ilene was a master educator for 35 years and was a dedicated teacher, mentor and friend. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bay City and held numerous leadership positions there. Ilene enjoyed the beach, reading, cooking and entertaining, Sunday card games, and being with family. Ilene is survived by her husband, Robert, two children, Dacia (David) Beazley and Michael (Stacy) Darbee, grandchildren Kimble, Kaylene, Jayna, Kevin and Kennedy, siblings Janet (Vince) Ventimiglia, Norma and John Bodine. She was predeceased by her parents, in-laws Howard and Agnes Darbee, and siblings Allen Bodine and Donna Shorkey.
