Doris R. Ruppert, age 81, of Venice, Florida, passed away on November 18, 2009. She was born on February 11, 1928 in Buffalo, New York and moved to Venice from Lancaster, New York. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard O.; three children, Richard J. of Port Charlotte, Florida, Doreen F. Ruppert of Huntsville, Alabama and Duane M. of Venice. She also leaves behind four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice. Interment will follow in the Epiphany Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice is handling the arrangements.
