Antonino Mangiafico, age 82, of Port Charlotte, passed away after a short illness on November 13, 2009. He was born in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily, Italy on January 15, 1927. He came to Port Charlotte in 1978 after retiring from the oil industry where he worked as a technician. He loved his family and had a passion for animals. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sebastiana; she was his life. He is also survived by sons Ernesto of North Port, Salvatore of Connecticut, and Enrico of Venice; daughters Mariella Milardo of Connecticut, Loredana Rossitto of Venice, and Egizia Aliano of Italy; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, on Tuesday, November 17th from 6 – 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 18th at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
