Raymond Leander Miller, age 100, a resident of Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Florida, passed away on October 7, 2009. He was born on July 9, 1909 in New York City, New York. He was the Plant Manager for Chilean Nitrate in Virginia and moved to Venice in 1996. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Cordelia Ann Miller of Venice; a son, Donald D. Miller of Vero Beach, Florida; a daughter, Marilyn F. Miller of Venice, Florida and a sister, Martha Frances Miller Suter of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence May Olson Miller; a son, Raymond Miller and a brother, Henry Miller. Services will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice & Palliative Care, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, Florida 34238. Farley Funeral Home in Venice, Florida is handling the arrangements.
