Wayne Vernon Steele, a long-time resident of Edmonds, WA died on April 10, 2019. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on Dec. 13, 1944 to proud parents Harold and Mable Steele. Wayne brought his genuine spirit of Aloha to the Pacific Northwest in 1972. His kind heart, his humility and compassion for others is something we all felt in his presence. He lived Aloha and made his mark on this earth by offering aloha to each person he came in contact with. His kind heart, warm smile and giggle will be missed. Heaven has received the kindest man with the most genuine heart of Hawaiian Gold. E ho’omaha me ka maluhia Makuakane. Wayne was the most amazing devoted and loving father. Wayne is survived by his son Lopaka V. Steele and daughter Kimberly A. Steele. His sister Barbra Chung and niece Tanya Chung along with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Dad will make his final trip home to Oahu Hawaii, where he will be laid to rest with his parents. My heart is at peace knowing daddy will be going home to the sound of the crashing waves that he has always loved so much, to the warmth of the sunshine and the excitement of the pouring rain that comes with the trade winds. We will return him to the family and the land that enriched his soul with the spirit of Aloha.
