Mary M. Martin, 89, of Venice, FL died on August 27, 2009. Mary was born on August 31, 1919 and moved to Venice from New City, NY in 1981. 

Mary worked for the Pederson Insurance Company in New City, NY for 15 years. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and doing crafts. 

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Dawson, of Venice, FL; son James Martin of Venice, FL; son Vincent Martin of Huntington, NY; a sister, Francis Schimpf, of New Jersey; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. 

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 10AM at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, FL. Burial will take place at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in New Port Richey, FL. Farley Funeral Home Venice Chapel is handling arrangements.
