David Clark, 91, of North Port, Florida passed away on Thursday July 16, 2009. Mr. Clark was born in Americus, Georgia to Arthur and Willie (McDonald) Clark. Mr. Clark was employed at the Milford Connecticut Post Shopping Mall, before becoming a Custodian for the University of Bridgeport for 15 years, before retiring in 1990 and moving to North Port in 1993 coming from Bridgeport, CT. He was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church, North Port, and former Union Steward for Local 1199, former member of Acorn in Bridgeport, CT. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Thelma Mellow-Clark of North Port; sons, David (Saundra) Clark, Jr., of Newark Delaware; Eugene Clark of Bridgeport, CT; daughters, Valorie Clark and Melanie Clark both of Bridgeport, CT and Willie Ruth Woolfork of Trenton, NJ; several grandchildren including, Mr. Lateefe R. Clark of Virginia, Eric D. Clark and Brandon B. Clark both of Newark, Delaware; Teric Clark of Bridgeport, CT and Tausha Johnson of Bridgeport, CT; several great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
