Nancy T. Kizer of Venice Florida and Morton Illinois died June 27, 2009 in Venice FL with her Husband (Dick) and children (Tim & Patty) at her side. Born in Decatur Il in 1930 she married Richard (Dick) W. Kizer in 1951 and celebrated their 58th Anniversary last week. Nancy received her Bachelor’s Degree at Bradley University in Peoria IL and her Masters and Doctorate of Education at Illinois State University and taught in the Department of English at Illinois State University and later served on the Dean’s staff at ISU. She retired in 1985 from ISU. She was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority at University of Indiana. She was a member of several bridge clubs, enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing and was an avid reader. Nancy was also a good golfer. Nancy and Dick live in Venice during the winter and enjoyed the ocean and the city of Venice along with their many friends; they summered in Morton IL with their Family and northern friends. Nancy was a loving Wife and Mother and will be greatly missed. Nancy is survived by her husband Dick Kizer, children Tim (Carolu) Kizer of Morton IL, Patty (Steve) Munson of Morton IL, grandchildren, Katie (Jamie) Smith, Hope Kizer, Ashley Wraight, Grace Munson and Molly Munson all of Morton IL. She is also survived by a sister Jane (Anand) Mehta of Plymouth Michigan.
