Denise Laurie Shepard, 58, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on April 15, 2009 after battling numerous illnesses for many years. She was born April 3, 1951 in Boston, MA, daughter of Samuel and Edith Fox. Denise obtained an Associates Degree from the University of New Hampshire and worked for many years as a Medical Administrator. Denise is survived by her beloved husband Paul; daughters Samara R. (Christopher) Gilbert, Leslie (Joe) Hennessey, Susan (Brian) Hummell; grandchildren Valerie, Hannah, Ian, Joseph, Lincoln and Faith. Denise is also survived by siblings Carol (James) Powers, Edward (Gina) Fox and twin brother Dennis (Nina) Fox. Brother Bruce (Trish) Fox preceded Denise in death last year. Services will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care, Fund Development, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238 or you may visit www.tidewell.org. Arrangements were made by Farley Funeral Home in North Port.
