Dorothy D. Lootens of Venice, Florida passed away April 4, 2009 in Sarasota, Florida. Dorothy was born in Williamson, New York the daughter of the late Daniel and Caroline (Borman) DeMay. In 2001 she and her husband Robert moved to Venice. She was employed with Stronberg-Carlson located in Rochester, New York for 20 years until her retirement. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert, brother, Howard (Sylvia) DeMay of Keuka Park, New York; brother and sister-in-laws, Richard (Sharon) Lootens of Ellenton, Florida and Baldwinsville, New York and Charles (Geraldine) Christensen of Penn Yan, New York and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Memorial services for Dorothy will be held in Florida and New York. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dorothy’s name to the American Cancer Society, South Sarasota/Desoto Unit, 2801 Fruitville Road, Suite 250, Sarasota, Florida 34237 To send condolences visit www.farleyfuneralhome.com.
