Elaine M. Kurtz of Venice, FL died March 1, 2009. She was born April 4, 1922 in Alpena, MI to Christine (Leskie) and Stanley Marciniak. Elaine retired in 1987 from Village on the Isle having worked there as an Executive Secretary for the administrative staff. She had previously worked for Vinyl Tech in Venice. Survivors include her husband, Melvin Kurtz of Venice; son, Charles and his wife, Laura Kurtz of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Christine Gruschke of Englewood, FL; brother, Raphael “Bud” Marciniak of Alpena, MI; five grandchildren: Conrad and his wife, Tamara, Angelo Jo Gruschke, Amy Kurtz, Matthew Kurtz, and Hannah Kurtz. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Inurnment will be through Great Burial Reef at a later date.
