Anna May (Nanny) Schmaltz, 92, of Nokomis, FL and formerly of West Hartford, CT. passed away on December 19, 2008. Mrs. Schmaltz was a homemaker most of her life and devoted her life to her late husband, Henry of 69 years and their children. She enjoyed children so much that she also did work for several years at the Smith Elementary School in West Hartford. She was very active in the West Hartford Little League Baseball and was also past president of the league. Anna May was a spunky lady always ready for fun. She always smiled and had a positive outlook on everything and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Joan Schmaltz from Rowayton, CT and Spring Island, S.C., her daughter and son-in-law Charlene and Mike Gineo of Nokomis, FL., her grandchildren Michael Gineo and wife Kim of Venice, FL., Holli Wallace and husband Chris of North Port, FL., Heide Lasher from Englewood, Colorado, Dana Schmaltz and wife Kate of Boston, Mass and 10 great-grandchildren, Michael and Russell Gineo, Kevin, Ryan, and Taylor Wallace, Megan and Erin Lasher, Isabelle, Bower and Phoebe Schmaltz.
