Leanne S. McSmythe, 45, of Venice, Florida died Thursday, November 27, 2008. She was born on March 12, 1963 in Enpangeni, South Africa to Arthur and Colleen (Mathiesan) Grondein. Leanne was a Pre School Teacher at Island Village Montessori School. 

She is survived by her husband, Craig W. McSmythe of Venice; son, Kyle McSmythe of Venice; daughter, Mishe McSmythe of Venice; mother, Colleen Grondein of South Africa; brother, Murray Grondein of South Africa.
