Ken passed away peacefully at his home in Pioneer, California, on Friday, September 25, 2026.
Ken was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 24, 1938, to Marjorie S. and Harold Kenneth Regnier Sr. The family later moved to Montpelier, Idaho, where they started a successful electronics and cable television business.
Ken’s father served in World War II and later in the Korean War. During those years, Ken took on the role of “man of the house” at a young age, helping his mother with both the family business and their household.
In September 1948, the family welcomed Ken’s baby sister, Judy. Ken spent his childhood in Montpelier, where he attended school and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1957. He then attended the University of Idaho, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Shortly after graduating, Ken reported for active duty in the U.S. Navy and served for two years in Japan. After completing his military service, he made his home in San Francisco. He remained in the Bay Area, a place he loved, until his retirement.
In 1965, Ken married Erminia Lois Mariani. They welcomed their son, Christopher Scott, on September 19, 1969, in Redwood City, California.
Ken’s career included work in television, electronic design, and development. He received several awards for his achievements in the field. His work allowed him to travel extensively throughout the world, and he had many wonderful stories to share about his experiences. He worked with several startup companies and also owned a website design business.
Ken was a devout Christian and was very active in his church, serving as an Elder at the Community Church of Pine Grove. He was dedicated to serving his church in any way he could.
Ken met the love of his life, Judy Marquardt, through church, where they were both very active in the church community. They were married on November 25, 1995.
Ken was also a member of the S.I.R.S. Club, where he served a term as secretary.
He had a passion for music and the arts and played in many jazz bands during his younger years.Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Marjorie and Harold Kenneth Regnier Sr.; his first wife, Erminia, the mother of his son; and his beloved wife, Judy, the love of his life.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Regnier, and his wife, Kathy; and his three wonderful grandchildren, Anthony, Rocco, and Gianna Regnier, of Eureka, Missouri.
He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and George King, of Salt Lake City, Utah; his nephew, Andrew King, of Salt Lake City, Utah; and his niece, Elizabeth Crosby, of Tooele, Utah.(Service details will be added here )
