Joan Marie Tenbush

Joan Marie Tenbush passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, California. Born on November 15, 1936, Joan was the fourth child of the late Frederick G. Steinger and Marie L. Sorel.

Joan called Amador County home for more than 55 years, where she enjoyed a vibrant social life filled with bunco, bingo, attending plays, visits to Jackson Rancheria, and memorable RV adventures. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother, and found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Sandra Dwyer and Teresa Paduveris. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Robert Tenbush; her daughter, Lori McGuire; her sisters, Barbara Blouin and Pat Brown; and her brothers, Robert Steinger and Freddy Steinger.

No formal services will be held. Joan will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Santa Nella.
