Lynda Diane Laolagi

Lynda Diane Laolagi, 77, of Jackson, California, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 20, 1948, in Maywood, California, to John and Evelyn Green, and was welcomed by her big brother, John. She grew up in Southern California and graduated from Hawthorne High School in 1966. Lynda met Valoia Laolagi, the love of her life, at a dance hall in Long Beach, and they married the day after her birthday on October 21, 1967.

Lynda and Val had three children, all born in Hawthorne, California. They moved to Orland and lived until work took them to San Jose. They lived in Fair Oaks and Wilton for many years before moving to Jackson in 2012. Anywhere they lived was always a home filled with love, warmth, and kindness. Lynda was a gentle and soft soul. She was a kind and beautiful woman inside and out.

Lynda lived a life full of love and dedication, working as a legal secretary for various law firms throughout Northern California before deciding to change careers in 2005, when she worked as a Library Assistant at the Amador County Library. This is where she felt at home and at peace, surrounded by books and interacting with members of the community. She retired in 2016 and spent these last years enjoying her family and friends, watching the sweet hummingbirds on their front porch, and taking long walks with Val and the dogs. Lynda was an avid reader and loved getting consumed and lost in a good story. Curling up with a blanket, a glass of sweet wine, a dog on her feet, and a good book was the perfect day.

Lynda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family and always found joy when she was able to spend time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends who were considered family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Valoia Laolagi, and by her daughter, Angela (Michael) McCuaig, and her son, Valoia (Pamela) Laolagi. Her grandchildren are Valoia (Haley) Laolagi, Michael (Erica) McCuaig, Matthew (Haley) McCuaig, and Bailey (Jordan) Laolagi. Great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Sienna, Parker Laolagi, and Samuel McCuaig. She was preceded in death by her son, Brett Laolagi, her brother, John Green, and her parents, John and Evelyn Green.

A funeral service will be held at Daneri's Mortuary on December 16, 2025, with a viewing at 9:00 am. Graveside burial at Mount Vernon Memorial in Fair Oaks, CA, will follow at 1:00 pm with a reception immediately following.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
