Mary Ann Peters

Mary Ann Peters (Heissenbuttel), passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald (Jerry) Peters, mother of John Heissenbuttel (Anne), William Heissenbuttel (Sue), Glynis Carreira, Walter Heissenbuttel (Teresa), Donna Haennelt, Marc Peters and Jayna Peters. She was the proud grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 16 and multiple nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was born and raised in San Francisco, CA, where she attended Balboa High School. It was during high school that she met her first husband, Donald Heissenbuttel, to whom she was married until his passing in 1974.

Mary Ann enjoyed fishing with her boys and their wives, girls’ trips to Carson Valley Inn, baking for loved ones, and spending as much time as possible with family and friends.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma CA.
