Thomas Angelo Oneto Sr.

Thomas Angelo Oneto, Sr., a life-long resident of Amador County, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026.  Born on November 24, 1926, Tom was the youngest of six children born to David Angelo and Theresa Augustina (Ratto) Oneto.  He attended local schools and was employed for many years in the local timber industry while raising cattle, and for a time, almonds and alfalfa hay.  On February 14, 1954 he married Claire Elaine South with whom he had four children, Elaine Williams (Leonard); Susan Grijalva; Thomas A. Oneto, Jr. (Linda); and Daniel Oneto (Carole).

He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings. He is survived by his wife and children, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank Amador Residential Care for the care he received during his residency there.

At his request there will be no services and interment at Sunset View Cemetery will be private.
