Ruth Riddell Roffer

ROFFER - Ruth Riddell, 84, of Clearwater, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she moved to Florida in 1995 from Cranston, Rhode Island. She was a realtor and broker for forty-seven years and was one of the first women brokers in her field. She owned Riddell-Roffer Realtors Inc. in Rhode Island and was a member of the Rhode Island Realtor's Association. She attended the Rhode Island School of Design and was the 1972 Business Woman of the Year for the state of Rhode Island. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and was an avid artist; dog lover and enjoyed the theatre. Survivors include her two daughters, Wendy I. Roffer of Largo, Florida and Shellie R. (Robert F.) Herberich of Clearwater, Florida, two sisters, Estelle Resnick of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Arline Blank of Providence, Rhode Island and several loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Roffer is further survived by her son-in-law, Robert F. Herberich and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred. Graveside service will be 11 AM Monday, June 11, 2007 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, Clearwater, Florida with Rabbi Gabriel Ben-Or officiating. David C.
