Kate Moxley Carpenter

Kate Elizabeth Moxley Carpenter, 90, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2026 at Runk & Pratt Memory Care. She was the wife of the late Delmer H. Carpenter.

Born is Casey, KY, on May 16, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Henderson Carey Moxley and Vina Bryant Moxley. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Spout Springs, VA.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Carpenter and his wife, Jane; a sister Evangeline Burton of Edinburgh, IN.

A visitation will be help on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a funeral service at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel at 1:00 p.m.. with Pastor Jeff Worley officiating. Burial will be in the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery in Spout Springs, VA.
