Thomas Ramsey Hackett

Thomas Ramsey Hackett, 68, of Lynchburg, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was the son of the late Junior Ray Hackett and Arlene “Link” Hackett. Tommy was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Tommy was born on August 4, 1958, the youngest of five siblings, growing up on Fort Hill. Tommy met the love of his life, Kathy Harris Hackett, in 1979. They were married on September 20, 1980 and shared 46 years together. They enjoyed racing 3-wheelers, fishing, and a whole lot of living before the birth of their two children.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Kathy, daughter, Amanda (Jake) of Hurt, VA, and son, Andrew of Lynchburg. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Joshua and Parker, one sister, Judy (Wayne) of Lynchburg and one brother, Ed of Amelia. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a brother.
