Lavon Lintelmann, beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and servant hearted member of her community at Serene Manor Adult Family Home passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2026, at the age of 94.

Lavon was born on May 6th, 1931, in Burley, Idaho to Emma and Vernal Munsee. She and her mother spent the first few years of her life on her grandfather’s farm. She loved her grandparents and farm life with her favorite pets. Her mother remarried in 1935 and she moved to Pocatello with her mother, stepfather, and stepsister. She used challenging circumstances to shape her strong, independent character with resilience and deep appreciation for her family. Three more sisters were added to the family.

Lavon married the love of her life, Arnold Lintelmann, in July of 1949. Together they shared 73 years of marriage before Arnold passed away in 2022. Lavon created a home filled with love, hospitality and football (even the Patriots). She loved being a wife, mother, homemaker and friend to so many.

She enjoyed cooking, quilting, reading and spending time with family. She taught by example by serving others, participating in small group ministries through her local churches, volunteering with Chinese Adoption agency, editing Set Free Ministry Bible Studies for prisoners, Koinonia Group for 30 years, Navigator Series Bible Studies, and creating quilts for family and single moms. Her handwritten notes, thoughtful letters, faithful prayers and gentle counsel will be remembered by many. Throughout her life she embodied kindness, tenacity and unwavering faith.

She is survived by her children Jan Fallt, Portland, OR, Jack Lintelmann (Anne) Federal Way, WA , 7 grandchildren 8 great grandchildren. Lavon is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, and her son, Kurt.

While our family mourns her passing, we rejoice in the life she lived and the legacy of faith, love, generosity, and service to others. Lavon’s deep and personal faith, service and influence will continue to reach future generations.

A Memorial Service was held on June 18, 2026 at Calvary Community Church in Sumner, WA. She was buried next to her husband on the same day at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent WA.
