He was originally from South Jersey, where he grew up in Somerdale and later moved to Pennsauken after marrying. He eventually settled in Port Orchard, Washington, where he raised his family and embraced the lifestyle and community he grew to love. Affectionately nicknamed “Yal” by his family, he was known by that name to his immediate family and closest friends throughout his life. He possessed a remarkable talent for building, repairing, and creating things with his hands. One of his greatest passions was firearms craftsmanship, which led him to establish his own business, Hart’s Custom Firearms. Those who knew Charles will remember his loyalty, generosity, strength, determination, unwavering commitment, and the fierce devotion with which he protected those he loved. Charles is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Carrol); his daughter, Chrystina; his sister, Maria (John) Wallace of Trinity, Florida; and his beloved niece, Victoria, all whom he loved dearly.
