Dorraine Edith Fleming

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with heavy hearts that i share the news that my beloved wife, Dorraine Fleming, has peacefully passed away, with her husband at her side, following a six-year battle with FTD dementia. 09/10/2026

Dorraine was born in San Diego, California, to Vernal and Doris Kensrud. She attended Bethel High School in Washington State, graduating in 1977. Following graduation, she began her career in the banking industry before joining the accounting department at the Tacoma News Tribune, where she dedicated 27 years of service.

We first met at a Fourth of July party in 1976, beginning a wonderful journey together that led to 47 years of marriage. Dorraine was a devoted mother to our two sons, Matthew and Jeremy, and a proud grandmother to five grandchildren. She cherished her time spent with family and friends, and brought joy to everyone she met. Outside of work and family life, she found great happiness in home remodeling, hiking, and tending to her gardens.

She was truly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

We decided to have a celebration of life for her prior to her Death. This was held on her last birthday in March, here at our home. She enjoyed seeing everyone, we appreciate all who attended on this special day.
