In Loving Memory of Patricia Ann Campbell (Decker)

Our beloved mother, Patricia Ann Campbell (Decker), passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, in Tacoma, Washington, at the age of 90.

Pat was born at home in Olympia, Washington, on May 5, 1936, the youngest of six children born to Earl and Ruth Decker. She was a kind, compassionate, strong, and wonderfully humorous woman whose generous spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Pat attended Holy Rosary Grade School and St. Leo’s High School. While in high school, she worked alongside her mother at Puget Sound Hospital, eventually moving to the Administration Office. After graduation, she worked as a teller at Bank of California until she married the love of her life, John “Jack” Campbell, in 1958.

Pat and Jack shared 66 wonderful years together until Jack’s passing on August 26, 2024. They were devoted partners and best friends. Pat loved being by Jack’s side, and it never really mattered where they went or what they were doing—as long as they were together, she was happy.

Together, they raised four children and built a home filled with love, laughter, good food, and an open door. Pat embraced motherhood wholeheartedly, becoming a devoted homemaker, chauffeur, caterer, caregiver, and, above all, a loving and supportive mom. Their home was a welcoming place for their children’s friends, where everyone was made to feel like family.

After raising her children, Pat began a career as a loan officer with Tacoma Longshoremen Credit Union, where she worked until her retirement.

Pat had an unwavering loyalty to her family. She was our protector, our unifier, and the heartbeat of our home. She loved each of her children and grandchildren with all her heart and being. Nothing made her happier than having her family together—sharing stories, laughing, and enjoying the favorite meals she lovingly prepared.

Some of Pat and Jack’s happiest memories were made at their lake property and while cheering on their grandchildren at sporting events, school concerts, and performances. They also loved traveling to Leavenworth, Seaside, Hawaii, and Ocean Shores. But wherever they were, what mattered most to Pat was being together.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; her parents, Earl and Ruth Decker; and her siblings, Earl (Bud), Dolly June, Howard, and Kenny.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Beth) Campbell, Nancy Beck, Linda (Chris) Boldt, and Jeff (Jessie) Campbell; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and her beloved sisters-in-law, Patricia Hansen and Mary (Kay) Seeberger.

Pat’s greatest legacy is the unconditional love she gave her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her strength, humor, generosity, laughter, stories, and the warmth of her home. Most of all, we will cherish how deeply she loved us and how fiercely she stood beside us. She was our Mom, our rock, and our rockstar—and we will carry her love with us always.
