William Albert Gebo

William Albert Gebo William (Bill) Albert Gebo died on April 5, 2018. He was born in Spokane, Washington on November 20, 1949, and lived there until he was 13, then moved to Lacey, Washington. He attended Irving Elementary school in Spokane, then Chinook Middle School and then graduated from North Thurston High School in Lacey. Bill was a wrestler and a cheerleader in high school. He was also a member of the Honor Society. Bill was very loving and supportive of his son and grandchildren. He often told them how proud he was of them and encouraged them to challenge themselves. He made sure they were able to participate in any sport or activity they chose to try. He attended every game and concert and never missed a practice. He could be counted on to grill burgers at TCYF. Anyone could hear Bill cheering from the stands at a T-Bird football game. He had a soft spot for animals. He never met a dog, cat or bird he didn’t like and couldn’t relate to. He loved to travel and try new things. The Washington and Oregon coasts were some of his favorite places he loved to go, especially for the beaches. He loved to BBQ and smoke meats and cheeses and to build and refinish furniture. Bill used to play pool regularly and, at one time, ran pool tournaments at Frankie’s. He was also a Black Jack player and paid for his car through his winnings. He is survived by his wife, Ginnie Schiendelman; son, Christopher Gebo, and grandchildren, Chloe Schiendelman and Logan Schiendelman along with many wonderful friends and relatives.
