Brett William Barber
Sep 29, 1972 — Sep 9, 2026
Brett William Barber, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 9, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and friendships that will never be forgotten.
Brett was born on September 29, 1972, in Batavia, New York, to William and Andrea Barber. Originally from LeRoy, New York, Brett eventually made his home in Englewood, Florida, where he built a life surrounded by family, friends, and community.
Brett was truly a larger-than-life person. Everything about him seemed to come with a little more—his personality, his laughter, his emotions, his friendships, and most of all, his love. He had an unforgettable presence and a natural ability to make people feel welcome. Once Brett considered you a friend, you were family and loved.
Brett was a dedicated realtor and the co-owner of Brett Barber and Company Realtors. He took great pride in his work and more importantly, in the relationships he built along the way. For Brett, real estate was about much more than buying and selling houses. It was about people, relationships, and helping others find a place to call home. He also served as Director of Operations at The Lock-n-Key and was a proud member of Rotary, where he enjoyed being part of his community and giving back to others.
Above all else, Brett loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Kristin, and his children, Sierra(Grayson), Anthony, Macayla(Antonio) and Keegan. He was a proud grandfather to Rowan and Rosalie, children of Macayla & Antonio, and Mills, son of Sierra & Grayson. His family was a tremendous source of love and pride for him.
Brett is also survived by his parents, William and Andrea Barber, his siblings, Jay(Karlynne), Scott and Maggie(Keith), nieces and nephews: Ariel, Bryce, Colin, Korryn, Reece, and Avary and extended family along with the many friends who became part of his life.
Brett was a passionate Buffalo Bills fan, and his enthusiasm for his team was as big as his personality. He brought that same energy and passion to the people and things he cared about.
Brett's life was a gift to so many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who is fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 770 Kilbourne Ave Englewood, FL at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.A celebration of Brett’s life will be held at Magnolias on the Bay 2395 North Beach Road Englewood, FL 12-4 p.m. All are welcome to attend to share memories, laughter & stories of Brett’s life.
