Feb 24, 1944 — Sep 12, 2025
John (Jack) R. Curley (81) of Placida Florida passed away on September 12, 2025. Jack graduated from East Bridgewater High School and the University of Massachusetts. He began his career as a marine biologist with Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries then transitioned to building custom homes on Cape Cod and Florida. Known for his craftsmanship, Jack created spaces where families made cherished memories.
Jack was a devoted husband to his beloved Angela (Froio) Curley for 61 years. Survived by his sister Eileen LaRosa of Massachusetts, his sons Kevin Curley (Beverly) of Rotunda West, FL and David Curley (Janet) of Maine. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Stephen Curley, Taylor Guillerm, Bridget Curley and Griffin Curley.
An avid sailor he found peace on the water with Angela aboard their sloop Ragnar. Their adventures included Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard and the Caribbean. They also visited Italy where Jack enjoyed the architecture and gelato.
Jack’s legacy of hard work and love for his family and friends will endure. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium in Sarasota, FL.
