Shirley Ann Tullis

Shirley Ann Tullis, 90, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2026, in Gilbert, Arizona.

Shirley was born on August 27, 1936, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to Myrtle and James Loney. She was the youngest of nine children. Her life eventually took her from Minnesota to Ohio and, finally, to Arizona.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Douglas Michael Tullis, as well as her eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Targe Rischmueller; grandchildren, Tyre (Heather) Rischmueller and Kylie (Hayden) Prouty; and great-grandchildren, Gwen, Lyla, Rhett, Dean, and Bennett. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William and Jeanie Tullis, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley will be remembered for her determined spirit. She was stubborn and tenacious to a fault, and once she set her mind to something, there was little chance of changing it. That determination was simply part of who she was, and it carried her through the many chapters of her life.

Shirley never saw a garage sale or thrift store that she could simply pass by. Over the years, she collected countless trinkets and treasures, each one finding its way into one of her many collections.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and remembered for her determination, her collections, and the many stories she left behind.
