Carole Agnes Spadafora

Mrs. Carole Agnes Spadafora, age 88, of North Port, Florida, passed away September 2nd, at her residence. She was born on November 3rd, 1936, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George Ciccarone and Regina Schuster Ciccarone. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Stefano (Steve) Spadafora, her parents George and Regina Ciccarone, brother Donald Ciccarone, and sister Nina Finsel.

Carole was a member of Saint Anthony Church in Sharon, and then San Pedro Church after moving to North Port in 1994. Carole was a homemaker for most of her life but also worked for Westinghouse in Sharon, Pennsylvania and for Nielsen while living in Florida. Determined not to lose her independence after the loss of her husband, Carole learned to drive in 2000, at the age of 64, and continued to drive for 23 years. She enjoyed gardening and ceramics, but most of all, her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Carole is survived by daughter Regina Gibson (husband-Stan), three sons, Frank (wife-Suzanne), Stephen (wife-Loretta), and George (wife-Patricia), sisters Bernadette Cornelius and Judee Bedenko, eleven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 18th, at St. Anthony Church in Sharon, followed by a 12:30 memorial lunch at Avalon Lakes Country Club at Buhl Park in Sharon. All family and friends are welcome.
